What Is Twilight About?
The plot begins with Bella Swan (risten Stewart) leaving sunny Phoenix to live with her father in Forks, a rainy, grey town, after her mother's wedding.
Bella is an introverted young woman, but her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a mysterious classmate who is unlike anyone she has ever met.
As they grow closer, Bella discovers that Edward is a vampire, gifted with superhuman strength, speed and the ability to read minds, except hers.
On the other hand, Edward is dazzled and intrigued by Bella, being the only human he can't decipher.
As the romance between Bella and Edward develops, they face unique challenges. Bella's attraction to Edward's supernatural world puts her in danger, especially when she draws the attention of a group of hostile vampires.
James, a vampire tracker, becomes a threat to Bella and Edward, triggering a series of events that culminate in an exciting and dangerous confrontation.
Alongside the main romance, the story also introduces the werewolves of the Quileute Indian reservation, including Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), who develops a strong friendship with Bella.
