Narcos Season 4 Release Date

Narcos Season 4 Release Date

If you are a fan of the series Narcos then you are in for a huge treat. After a very long wait, the release date for Season 4 has been confirmed for November 16th, 2018! There has been lots of speculation over the release of the new season but just one week ago Netflix posted the teaser trailer below.

Netflix had commissioned two more new seasons, but filming had to be stopped late in 2017 after one of the shows location scouts was shot dead in Mexico. Carlos Munoz Portal was found dead in his car with multiple shot wounds in an area of Mexico that has the highest murder rates. Even Pablo Escobar's brother got involved, with a press release advising Netflix to hire hitmen for security. Representatives of the show pulled the plug for obvious reasons advising “We can't do it if it's not safe”.

Narcos focuses on the most powerful crime lords in history and always seemed to be touching the boundaries. But thankfully for fans, the tragic issues faced last year were resolved to allow production to continue.

From what we can see of Season 4 so far, this looks to be almost a reboot of the brand. The first three seasons were all based in Columbia, but here we jump to Mexico and a release from Netflix outlines that season four goes back to the roots of modern drug warfare. If the trailers released so far are anything to go by it looks fantastic. Diego Luna and Michael Pena both star in the new Season, with Luna playing the head of the Guadalajara Cartel.

Narcos is undoubtedly one of the most talked about shows ever on Netflix. If you have missed out on this great show, check out our Narcos review here and get catch up quick so that you are ready for the brand new season of this fantastic Netflix Original series.
