Ricky Gervais announced the release date (Jan 14 2022) for After Life season 3 on Twitter. The star also tweeted a new trailer for the upcoming season. With a viewership of nearly 100 million, Life After is the most-watched British comedy of the decade.

The third season will begin with Ricky's character Tony honouring his father's wishes to scatter his ashes. The trailer promises the return of Penelope Wilton, Ashley Jensen, and Joe Wilkinson, as well as a guest appearance by Kenneth Collard.
AFTER LIFE SUMMARY
After his wife's death from breast cancer, Tony (Ricky Gervais) is left to deal with the loss. He considers suicide but instead decides to live long enough to punish the world for his wife's death by saying and doing whatever he wants.
In his spare time, Tony watches videos of his late wife, Lisa (Kerry Godliman), who recorded messages for him before she died. In them, she urges Tony not to wallow in grief – like she expected he would.

SEASON 4 AFTER LIFE?
Unfortunately, it's unlikely we'll get Season 4. Netflix's After Life is coming to an end: The Ricky Gervais drama-comedy will premiere its third and final season on Friday, Jan. 14.
