What Is The Appropriate Age To Watch Greenhouse Academy?

Despite being a school drama series, Greenhouse Academy has more intense content, with some extreme details, which is not advisable for younger children.

With a recommendation for viewing over 13, the series features violence, death, strong words, and intimate and emotional scenes.

Although it is the parents' final decision whether to let their children watch the show, we do not recommend it for young impressionable viewers.

Is Greenhouse Academy Worth Watching?

Greenhouse Academy divided the viewers' opinions. Although it is not one of the most popular series on Netflix, it has won over a fair amount of the audience.

Some find the series very entertaining and enjoyable, while others criticise the performances and find it overly dramatic.

A few fans didn't like the change of some actors in the third and fourth seasons, claiming that it affected the dynamics of the series.

Others mentioned that the story itself lost some quality and that the shortening of the episodes in the last two seasons, created an inappropriate rush in the story.

Despite several alternatives in the genre, we consider Greenhouse Academy an excellent series to watch, with plenty of mystery and an interesting plot.

One thing is for sure, once you've seen the first episode, you'll want to watch it all the way through!

Where Was Greenhouse Academy Filmed?

Greenhouse Academy began filming in 2016, mainly in Tel Aviv, a city on Israel's Mediterranean coast. Most of its inside scenes were filmed in Holon television studios.

The exteriors were all filmed on Palmachim beach, Petah Tikva streets and the Suzanne Dellal dance centre in Tel Aviv.

Casting was partially done in Los Angeles and Tel Aviv-Yafo, Tel Aviv District, Israel. The actors had to stay several weeks in Israel to be able to perform in the series.

One interesting curiosity is that some changes had to be made to ensure the sets looked American. Israeli beds are generally much taller than normal American ones, so the show's creators ensured that even the bunks were the right height to recreate a proper set.

The electric plugs also had to be replaced, and around 200 food items were imported from the US for the cafeteria featured in the show.

Despite all the logistics required to recreate properly American settings, the filming went smoothly, with the excellent results visible in this successful series.
