Tehran Season 3 Release Date – When Is It Coming To Apple TV+?

Tehran is an Israeli spy thriller TV series created by Moshe Zonder, which airs on Apple TV+.

Written by Zonder and Omri Shenhar and directed by Daniel Syrkin, the show premiered in September 2020 internationally on the streaming platform.

Tehran follows Tamar Rabinyan, an Iranian-Jewish Mossad agent, on her first mission in Iran's capital. But when things don't go to plan, the lives of everybody involved are put at risk.


The first season consists of eight episodes and aired in 2020. The second season dropped another eight episodes in 2022

Hugely popular, Tehran was renewed for a third season on February 8th 2023. So the big question is – Tehran season 3 – when is it coming to Apple TV+??

TEHRAN SEASON 3 RELEASE DATE

Tehran is a complicated show involving many characters, plots, and locations. Season two began filming in August 2021 and aired in May 2022, so it roughly took ten months from beginning to end.

We know that the third season is in production, so there is an excellent chance we could get new episodes by the end of 2023.

Apple TV+ has not made an official announcement, but we know that Tehran Season 3 is scheduled to air in 2023.

Tehran Season 3: What Happens?

The second season featured Glenn Close, was a nail-biting thriller as Tamar found herself dragged back into the world of espionage.

With her actions having devasting consequences, Tamar decides to help Mossad take out Qasem Mohammadi, the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

By the end of season two, everything has gone wrong (again), and Tamar finds herself alone and trapped in Iran with no one to trust.

So we head into season 3 with Tamar desperately needing to leave Iran and get herself back into the good graces of Mossad.

We know that Hugh Laurie (Roadkill) has been cast as Eric Peterson, a South African nuclear inspector. And that Niv Sultan, Shaun Toub, and Shila Ommi will all be back.

New additions to the cast for Tehran season 3 include Sasson Gabai, Bahar Pars, and Phoenix Raei.

Tehran Season Summary

Tehran follows Tamar Rabinyan, a young Jewish woman born in Iran but raised in Israel. She works for the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad.

As Tamar gets deeper into her mission, she discovers more about Iran's political and social issues. She starts questioning her mission and the real cost of her actions.

The season concludes with Tamar making significant decisions that have a lasting impact on her life and the ongoing conflict.

She learns that change is possible, but it comes with a heavy price.

What Language Is Tehran In On Apple TV+?

Tehran is a bi-lingual TV show set in both Iran and Israel. The languages used in the show include Hebrew, Persian, and English.

Even Glenn Close, who starred in the second season, learned to speak Farsi for her role.

Niv Sultan, the Israeli actress who plays Tamar, studied and learned Persian and Krav Maga, the Israeli self-defence method, for her character.

How Many Episodes Of Tehran On Apple TV?

Two seasons of Tehran have aired, with a third on the way.

Each season has eight episodes, so you can now watch 16 episodes, which will increase to 24 episodes once the third season is aired.
