Unlike other platforms, however the episodes will drop weekly – keeping you hooked as you discover whodunnit!

If you haven't seen the first season of The Afterparty, then you're missing a treat. As it is an Apple TV+ original, you can only watch it there.

That means you need a subscription, so if you don't have one you can sign up here. It will cost you around $6.99/£6.99 per month and with its incredible list of shows, you'll be spoiled for choice.

Before we delve into what's in store for season 2, let's take a little look at season 1.

The Afterparty has a very unique premise. At a high school reunion afterparty, one of the guests is murdered. Tiffany Haddish is Detective Danner, who must solve the case that night, and in her sights are a number of suspects.

Each interview retells the night's events but in a different genre of movie-making. So one is told as a romantic comedy, another as an action movie, another in animation, etc…

Danner must then look for inconsistencies and identify the culprit. It's clever and funny and makes a change from the usual run-of-the-mill whodunnits.

So what can we expect in season 2? A lot of the cast is back to reprise their roles, but this time the murder is committed at a wedding.

When the groom is murdered every guest is a suspect. Detective Danner (Haddish) returns to help Aniq (Richardson) and Zoë (Chao) solve whodunnit by questioning family members, star-crossed lovers and business partners.

Hearing each suspect’s retelling of the weekend, she must figure out who killed the groom and why.
