Tom Hanks is one of the greatest actors of modern times. From his early days starring in comedy classics such as Big and Turner & Hooch, and the rom-com hits You've Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle, he has starred in over 90 different movies.

The Terminal
Directed by Steven Spielberg, The Terminal (2004) is a comedy-drama with Tom Hanks who plays Victor Navorski.
Navorski is an Eastern European man who is stuck in New York's John F. Kennedy Airport terminal when he is denied entry to the United States and at the same time is unable to return to his native country because of a military coup.
Because of this, U.S. Customs and Border Protection seizes his passport and return ticket pending resolution of the issue. He becomes a refugee and is forced to live at Kennedy International Airport.
Cast Away
It is Christmas Day 1995 and Chuck (Tom Hanks) is rushing off to catch yet another plane for a business trip.
The flight experiences technical difficulties, and goes down somewhere in the south Pacific, where a relatively unharmed Chuck washes up on a deserted island.
