In the panoramic world of film, where artistry and spectacle often vie for dominance, Damien Chazelle's Babylon stands as a luminous testament to the marriage of both.
Brimming with the stylistic flair we've come to associate with Chazelle — think La La Land's dreamlike dance numbers and Whiplash's sweat-drenched percussion scenes — this film takes us on a cinematic odyssey through the golden era of Hollywood, blending historical moments with fictional exuberance.
Yet, Babylon is far more than a mere pastiche of a bygone age. It delves into the underlying tensions of its setting, teasing out themes of identity, ambition, and the volatile coexistence of art and commerce.
Strap in for a masterfully orchestrated narrative, unforgettable performances, and an emotional resonance that lingers long after the credits roll.
Starring Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt and Diego Calva is a whirlwind of a movie and while it may not have been the box office splash that many had hoped for, it's still incredibly entertaining.

How Much Money Did Babylon Make?
In terms of Box Office receipts, Babylon is considered a bit of a flop. Sure, Damien Chazelle may have been at the helm and his previous works speak for themselves, however, in this case, there's as much wrong with Babylon as there is right.
The run time of over three hours didn't help with few people having that kind of free time to sit in the cinema.
Industry website Deadline Hollywood reported that given the film's all-inclusive budget of approximately $160 million, it would require at least $250 million globally to break even.
In the U.S. and Canada, Babylon earned $15.4 million, while it garnered $48 million in other international markets, culminating in a global box office total of $63.4 million.
After accounting for all costs and earnings, the site estimated that the film incurred a loss of $87.4 million for the studio.
Does that mean it's a bad film? No, it doesn't. Because it's not a bad film. It's just that the public didn't really respond to it.
