Starring Mila Kunis and Glenn Close, Four Good Days (2020) is a drama directed and produced by Rodrigo García.

He also co-wrote the screenplay with Eli Saslow, based on Saslow's 2016 Washington Post article “How's Amanda? A Story of Truth, Lies and an American Addiction”.

With a limited cinema release, it didn't leave much of an impression on the critics. They gave it just a 55% approval rate on Rotten Tomatoes; however, as is usually the case, the audience really loved it, with an 81% approval rating.

Central Europe: For the vast majority of the European countries such as Belgium, Portugal, Spain, France etc… Four Good Days is not currently available on Netflix.

What Is Four Good Days About?

Based on a true story, Molly Wheeler (Mila Kunis) is a heroin addict. She has been for more than a decade. She has lost custody of her children, relapsed 15 times, and has finally decided to try and get clean again.

When she shows up at her mother Deb's (Glenn Close) house, begging for help, their already fragile mother-and-daughter relationship, is put to the test. Again.

But there is a glimmer of hope. A doctor can give her a monthly shot of an opioid antagonist which will make her immune to getting high.

The catch is that Molly must stay clean for four painfully long days to get the treatment. Can she stay clean long enough and will she get her life back? Watch Four Good Days to find out.

Is Four Good Days A True Story?

Yes, Four Good Days is based on the true story of Amanda Wendler, a young American woman and one of the millions who are addicted to drugs.
