Where To Watch Hellraiser 2022 – Is It On Netflix?

Hellraiser 2022

With Halloween just around the corner, what better way to get into the holiday spirit than by watching some horror movies? And if you're a fan of the classics, then you'll be happy to know that Hellraiser is coming back.

That's right, the classic Clive Barker story is being rebooted for a new generation, and we couldn't be more excited. But where can you watch Hellraiser 2022?

Is it on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon or Disney! Let's find out.

Where Can I Watch Hellraiser? Is It On Netflix Or Hulu?

As of right now, you will be able to watch Hellraiser 2022 on the Hulu platform in the United States.

Outside of the U.S. horror fans will be able to find the movie on Disney+.

It might seem strange that a horror film will be on a children's streaming platform, but that's how Disney rolls outside the States.

For instance, the recent new Predator movie ‘Prey‘ was released on Disney+ in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

As for Netflix, the movie is not currently available on the platform in any region, and I can't see that changing anytime soon.

However, you can watch the original Hellraiser (1987) for free on Amazon Prime in the United States and the United Kingdom.

If you're not a subscriber to Hulu or Disney+, you can get a great deal on signing up with a package that includes both platforms.

Outside the US you'll only need Disney+, which is one of the best value streaming services currently available – check out current subscriber offers.

Hellraiser 2022 Release Date

Plans for a Hellraiser remake started way back in October 2007, but it's taken over 14 years for the project to come to fruition.

The movie was finally greenlit in 2019, with David Bruckner attached to direct. Bruckner is no stranger to the horror genre, having worked on No One Gets Out Alive, V/H/S/94, The Night House and Siren.

So when is this movie actually coming out? Well, the plan is for Hellraiser 2022 to be released on 7th October 2022, just in time for Halloween.

We will keep you updated on any changes to the release date, but for now, mark your calendars for October 7th, 2022.

What's The Plot Of Hellraiser 2022?

The Disney platform synopsis states “A young woman struggling with addiction comes into possession of an ancient puzzle box, unaware that its purpose is to summon the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension”.

So we can deduce from the above that the plot will not deviate from the original premise too much, which is probably a good thing.

After all, the original Hellraiser is considered a classic of the horror genre, so there's no need to fix what isn't broken.

The original movie was based on a novella by Clive Barker called The Hellbound Heart. The story follows a man named Frank Cotton, who buys a puzzle box in Morocco and accidentally summons the Cenobites.

These extradimensional beings torture those who solve the box, and Frank soon regrets his decision.

The remake will reportedly have a female Cenobite (Pinhead), which is an interesting twist. It will be fun to see how the story is updated for a new generation, and we can't wait to find out.

Who's In The Cast Of Hellraiser 2022?

The cast of Hellraiser 2022 includes Odessa A'zion as Riley, Jamie Clayton as Pinhead and Brandon Flynn, Goran Višnjić, Drew Starkey and Adam Faison in undisclosed roles.

Odessa A'zion plays the lead role of Riley, a young woman who becomes embroiled in the world of the Cenobites. A'zion is best known for her work on Fam, Nashville and Netflix's Grand Army.

Jamie Clayton plays the iconic role of Pinhead, the leader of the Cenobites. Clayton is best known for her work on Sense8 before landing the role on Hellraiser.

As for the rest of the cast, we don't know much about their roles at this point. However, we do know that they will all be playing human characters who cross paths with the Cenobites in some way.
