Is Hotel Transylvania on Netflix? Here’s Where To Stream It TODAY

Hotel Transylvania is an animated media franchise created by comedy writer Todd Durham and produced by Sony Pictures Animation.

With a brilliant ensemble cast including Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg and Selena Gomez, the first movie, released in 2012, was a huge hit.

Two sequels followed, and between the three movies, have grossed over $1.3 billion worldwide against a combined production budget of $245 million. Not a bad return!

Where To Watch Hotel Transylvania?

Streaming Hotel Transylvania can be confusing as the movie is available on different platforms depending on which country you live in.

Australia: You are in luck if you want to watch Hotel Transylvania in Australia. With plenty of choices, you can catch it on Amazon Prime Video, Binge, Paramount+ and Foxtel Now.

Canada: In Canada, you can watch Hotel Transylvania on Netflix.

Israel: With two streaming options in Israel, you can watch Hotel Transylvania on both Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

Mexico: In Mexico, you can watch Hotel Transylvania on HBO Max.

India: If you want to watch Hotel Transylvania in India, you can stream it for free on Amazon Prime Video if you have a subscription.

Europe: Hotel Transylvania is available in many countries on Amazon Prime Video. They include Austria, Germany and Portugal.

However, there are some countries where Hotel Transylvania is available on NETFLIX and they are: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Holland, France and Spain.

Hotel Transylvania: Transformania

Deviating from the usual release format, in 2022 Hotel Transylvania: Transformania was released on Amazon Prime Video.

It is the fourth and final installment in the Hotel Transylvania franchise and the sequel to Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (2018).

Directed by Derek Drymon and Jennifer Kluska, it was originally planned to be released theatrically in the US in October 2021. Instead, Sony Pictures sold the film's distribution rights to Amazon Studios for $100 million.

How Many Hotel Transylvania Movies Are There?

There are FOUR Hotel Transylvania movies in total:

  • Hotel Transylvania (2012)
  • Hotel Transylvania 2 (2015)
  • Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (2018)
  • Hotel Transylvania 4: Transformania (2022)

There are also three short films, a flash-animated TV series, and several video games.

Why Didn't Adam Sandler Do Hotel Transylvania 4?

The official reason why Adam Sandler did not appear in Hotel Transylvania 4 is because he chose to focus on other projects.

Even though Sandler has never commented on his reasons for leaving the Hotel Transylvania films, it happened around the time that he re-signed his Netflix deal.

That pulled him into making films for Netflix and reportedly took him away from Sony Pictures, his previous home.

Having played Dracula in the first three movies, he was replaced by Brian Hull for the fourth and final film in the franchise.
