What Is It Chapter 2 About?

It Chapter 2 follows a group of adults, who were members of the Losers' Club as children, as they return to their hometown of Derry, Maine to defeat the evil entity known as Pennywise the Clown, who has returned after a 27-year hiatus.

The film begins 27 years after the events of the first film, where the members of the Losers Club have all gone their separate ways and have forgotten about their childhood encounter with Pennywise.

However, when people start disappearing from Derry again, the Losers Club reunite to fulfill their promise to defeat Pennywise once and for all.

The movie explores themes of trauma, loss, and friendship as the Losers Club confronts their past and faces their fears to defeat Pennywise.

Along the way, they must also deal with personal issues and emotional baggage that they have been carrying since their childhood.

Who Dies In It Chapter 2?

Where Was It Chapter 2 Filmed?

It Chapter 2 was primarily filmed in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and the surrounding areas. The filmmakers chose Toronto because of its varied architecture, which allowed them to create the different looks and feels required for the different locations in the movie.

Some specific locations used in the film include:

Pinewood Toronto Studios: The indoor sets for the movie were constructed at Pinewood Toronto Studios, including the sewers and the inside of the haunted house.

Port Hope, Ontario: This small town about 70 miles east of Toronto was used as the filming location for the fictional town of Derry, Maine.

Many of the outdoor scenes in the movie, including the Derry Canal Days festival, were filmed in Port Hope.

Kitchener, Ontario: The exterior of the former Kitchener-Waterloo Collegiate and Vocational School was used as the location for the Losers Club's high school.
