What Is One Tree Hill About?

One Tree Hill is the classic American teen drama that has drawn in audiences around the world.

In the beginning, the main storyline follows the relationship between two half-brothers, Lucas and Nathan Scott, who start out as enemies when Lucas becomes a member of the Tree Hill Ravens (the high school basketball team).

Nathan, the team captain, is threatened by this, and so their rivalry begins. This isn't helped when Lucas starts to fall for Nathan's girlfriend, Peyton Sawyer.

Then comes a series of relationship issues as well a background into their father and how he ended up with each of their mothers.

One Tree Hill explores themes such as friendship, romance and family, and features a plethora of characters that you can't help but fall in love with.

How Many Seasons Of One Tree Hill?

One Tree Hill premiered in 2003 and ran for an incredible nine seasons.

With 187 episodes, the show is the fourth-longest-running series on The CW network. It is beaten only by Smallville, 7th Heaven, and Supernatural.

Eventually, the show came to a conclusion on April 4, 2012 with season nine, which only had 13 episodes to wrap up the whole show.

Where Was One Tree Hill Filmed?

One Tree Hill was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina. Many of the scenes were filmed in and around the Wilmington area, including Cape Fear Community College and Screen Gems Studios.

Iconic locations include Eugene Ashley High School, the interior of Brooks's house, which is actually a studio stage at Gems Studios, Johnnie Mercers Fishing Pier, which is located at Wrightsville Beach, and Bellevue Cemetery in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Tree Hill High was filmed at Emsley A. Laney High School and lastly, scenes were also shot at Westfield Shoppingtown Independence, also in Wilmington.

Why Did Chad Michael Murry Leave One Tree Hill?

Chad Michael Murray left One Tree Hill in 2009 after his character, Lucas Scott, reached the conclusion of his story arc.

Murray cited wanting to move on to new opportunities as the reason for his departure.

But you can still watch him in several films, including Outlaws and Angels (2016), Left Behind (2014), and Fruitvale Station (2013).

He also recently starred in the television series Agent Carter (2015-2016), Survive The Night (2020) and Fortress (2021).

Who Does Brooke End Up With In One Tree Hill?

Played by Sophia Bush, the character of Brooke is one of only two to appear in all 187 episodes. The other is Bethany Joy Lenz as Haley James.

In the show, Brooke Davis ends up with her long-time love, Lucas Scott. The two eventually marry and have two children together.
