Where To Watch Saltburn?

At the time of writing, Saltburn is still available in some theatres, depending on where you live.

If you hold off for a couple of weeks, it will be winging its way to a streaming platform near you.

What Is Saltburn About?

With more twists and turns that a barber pole, Saltburn is set in England in 2007 and revolves around Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan), a scholarship student at Oxford University.

Coming from a less privileged background, Oliver struggles to fit into the upper-class environment of the university.

Despite this, he eventually befriends Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi), a wealthy and popular student.

As their friendship rolls on, Felix starts grows weary of Oliver's constant presence. But when tragedy strikes Oliver, Felix takes pity on him.

He invites Oliver to spend the summer at his family's estate, Saltburn where Oliver's growing obsession with Felix leads to a series of dramatic and unsettling events.

What starts out as a dark comedy just keeps getting dark in this twisted tale of manipulation, obsession and class.

Saltburn Filming Locations

Emerald Fennell decided from the outset that she only wanted to film in one location.

She also didn't want to film anywhere already known ot viewers. For that reason, Saltburn was filmed at and in Drayton House, Northamptonshire.

Drayton House is a Grade I listed country house that was first built in 1328. Every century since has brought new changes and additions giving it a real mix of styles.

The only time it was every sold was in 1361 and since then it has passed through inheritance.

It is currently owned by the Stopford Sackville family and has never been used for filming prior to Saltburn.
