What Is The Last Duel About?

In a nutshell, The Last Duel is a period drama with plenty of action. It is set in Medieval France, where Matt Damon plays Jean de Carrouges, a knight.

His wife, Marguerite (Jodie Comer), accuses Jean's friend Jacques Le Gris (Adam Driver) of raping her. So the good Knight challenges his former friend to a judicial duel.

The events leading up to that duel are then played out in three parts, one from the character's perspective.

But of course, every story has two sides, or three in this case, so who is telling the truth? And how will it all end?
