What Is Thor: Love and Thunder About?

As a quick summary, Gorr (Bale) renounces and kills his god, Rapu and sets out on a mission to kill all Gods with the help of the necrosword. Thor, who has joined the Guardians of the Galaxy, learns that Gorr's next target is New Asgard.

So he leaves the Guardians to track down Gorr. At the same time, Dr. Jane Foster has been diagnosed with stage four terminal cancer. So she travels to New Asgard, hoping Thor's hammer might heal her.

What she doesn't know is that the hammer has been enchanted to protect her and bonds itself to her. She is now the Mighty Thor and, along with Thor, Valkyrie, and Korg they must fight Gorr.

With more action than you thought possible, lots of realms, Gods, magic weapons and some flying goats, Thor: Love and Thunder is a mish-mash of every idea Taika Waititi ever had.

But how will it all end? Watch Thor: Love and Thunder to find out.

Where Was Thor: Love and Thunder Filmed?

The movie was largely filmed in Australia, at Fox Studios Australia (now Disney Studios Australia) in Sydney. Industrial Light & Magic (check out the documentary, it's amazing!) provided the same StageCraft production technology, creating a custom volume space at the studio.

Other locations used were Potts Hill in Sydney, which was used as New Asgard with additional scenes filmed in Canada.
