Travelling can be chaotic at the best of times, but it can really be a nightmare at Christmas. Now imagine you're at the airport, and you're stranded there. That's the plot of A Storm For Christmas, a comedy-drama from Norway that is the perfect tonic for the holidays.
Brought to you by the same director as Home For Christmas, Per-Olav Sørensen, A Storm For Christmas is very much an ensemble story set in Oslo airport on Christmas Eve.
But what is it all about?
What Is A Storm For Christmas About?
A group of people arrive at Oslo airport. Some are there to welcome their loved ones, some to travel home to their families, and some to fly away and escape Christmas.
But in one way or another, their Christmas mission goes awry. Flights get cancelled, plans go out the window, and everybody starts to get stressed.
There's the celebrity popstar who is sick of being recognised by everybody at the airport, the concert pianist who can't get to where he needs to go, and a woman whose son is scheduled for an operation in New York, but the flights are grounded.
And what would Christmas be without Santa Claus? Because he's there too, entertaining the demanding little kids.
They are all stranded at the airport and the clock is ticking. With only 24 hours until Christmas, what do they do?

Is A Storm For Christmas Worth Watching?
The fact that it's made by the same creators as the brilliant Home For Christmas, is enough of a reason to watch this. It even has a few of the same actors so from the get-go you know you're going to be entertained.
What is great about A Storm For Christmas is that it covers so many different characters, all of whom are completely relatable. It's funny, dramatic, heartbreaking and uplifting all at the same time.
Ultimately, its message is that Christmas is about more than what you can get. It's about people connecting in the most unlikely of circumstances and how to make the best of a difficult situation.
It's the kind of Christmas show that will leave you feeling all gooey and happy inside, and it's brilliant.
