When an apocalyptic tidal wave hits during the Class of '07 ten-year reunion, a group of women must find a way to survive in their high school campus. Brilliant Australian comedy drama.

With so much content available across many different streaming platforms, finding something to watch is becoming tricky. So I'm here to tell you that if you want to watch something light, bright and breezy, try Class of '07, an underrated comedy from Australia.

Available on Amazon Prime Video, Class of '07 is one of those hidden gems that didn't get a lot of marketing behind it. But if you search it out, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the comedy chops on display.

Before I get into all of that, though, let's find out what the comedy-drama is all about and if it is worth watching.

What Is Class of '07 About?

Zoe (Emily Browning) had great ambitions to be famous, but when a viral moment on an Australian dating show humiliates her, she basically hides out in a remote caravan until all of the fanfare has died down.

However, one evening she discovers that a major flood is on the way and that her old all-girls high school campus is the meeting place for disasters. So she heads there, only to discover that her high school ten year reunion is in full swing.

Despite her attempts to tell her classmates about the impending flood, they don't listen to her, and everyone cracks on getting drunk and having a good time. That is until an apocalyptic tidal wave hits and turns their school into an island peak.

What starts out as a good night out quickly turns into a battle for survival as the various young women seemingly resort to their teen selves, complete with all of the high school drama and fragile female friendships.

Can they survive on the island? How will they survive on the island? And will they ever be rescued? Find out in the Class of '07 tv series.

Is Class of '07 Worth Watching?

If you want to watch a show that expertly blends great comedy, drama and an abundance of female talent, then Class of '07 is for you.

The premise of an apocalyptic tidal wave hitting a high school reunion, stranding all of the attendees, is actually quite brilliant.

It provides the setting, a reason for them all to be there and, more importantly, a reason why none of them can leave. And it's that element that forces them to confront who they used to be and the impact they all had on each other's lives.

Surprisingly, it's those insights that bring the most drama, particularly when it comes to how badly they treated each other. Tangled in decade-old drama, surviving each other proves as difficult as surviving the apocalypse.

The script is brilliant, the dialogue is natural, the characters and storyline progress with each episode and there are as many laugh-out-loud moments as there are more subdued poignant moments.

This is a group of women who must face who they used to be in order to survive in a world where they only have each other. And it is utterly charming, and I for one, can't wait for another season!
