Who doesn't love a steamy drama and based on the success of 365 Days, Diary of a Gigolo looks set to be just as popular.
So what is Dairy of a Gigolo (Diario de un gigoló) all about? Well, you may have guessed from the title that it is about the life of a gigolo who, in this tv series, happens to be Emanuel (star, Jesús Castro).
Emanuel hasn't had an easy life. Growing up in poverty and violence in Argentina, he now makes his living as an escort.
Things seem to be going well until Emanuel forms a bond with Minou (Adriana Barraza), a businesswoman who helps him become a sought-after escort.
But then the male escort's life begins to get very complicated.
One of his frequent clients Ana (Fabiola Campomanes), offers him a job to seduce her daughter Julia (Victoria White) in order to boost her self-esteem. Because that's what everyone needs – their mother hiring an escort for them!
Anyway, the lines start to blur as Emanuel unexpectedly starts to fall for Julia and becomes romantically involved with her, leading him to question his life choices.
And as we all know, the path to true love never runs smooth. Soon Ana is consumed by jealousy as she watches Emanuel and Julia's relationship develop.
Ana threatens to tell her daughter the truth, but lovesick Emanuel fails to see the dangers that will affect his uncertain future with Julia and his life as a gigolo.

Is Diary of a Gigolo Worth Watching?
Let's be honest, sex sells. And with a title like Diary of a Gigolo, you can imagine that this tv series has plenty of it.
However, there is more to this show than just a few steamy scenes. It actually turns into a decent enough mystery when somebody is murdered, and Emanuel is framed for it.
So then the question becomes, who is the real murderer and can Emanuel prove his innocence? And of course what will happen with Julia?
Diary of a Gigolo is like a very dramatic version of The Hookup Plan (the French comedy, which is very good).
Filmed in Spanish, it could easily have become very soap opera-ish, but it has a decent plot, is well acted for the most part (some characters are a little over the top) and is incredibly glamorous with money and sex appeal a staple feature.
Overall Diario de un gigoló, as it is in Spanish, has more depth than you would expect and is a decent whodunnit. Though on the downside, it is ick to have him sleep with both the mother and the daughter!
