Is there anything more festive than a Christmas romantic comedy?? Normally we get our fill of snowy, wintery goodness from Hallmark but Netflix has upped its game and brought us Falling For Christmas.

I'll be honest, I'm not sure if even writing a review for this film is necessary. You're either going to watch it the day it comes out or not at all.

It's not going to be a movie that you deliberate over. You either LOVE these kinds of movies or you HATE them. And I'm not going to be able to change your mind!

What Is Falling For Christmas About?

In the days leading up to Christmas, Lindsay Lohan (Mean Girls) is Sierra Belmont, a young and spoiled heiress.

Complete with all of the usual bratty tropes you would expect from the daughter of a hotel magnate, Sierra is not the nicest person in the world.

Then Tad, her boyfriend, takes her on a skiing trip to propose, and just as she accepts, a huge gust of wind comes along and blows her off the side of the mountain.

Found unconscious in the snow, she wakes up in the hospital only to find that she has amnesia and can't even remember her name.

Taking pity on her, a handsome blue collar lodge owner, Jake, takes her in and takes care of her with his daughter.

It's ages before her father finds her, and in the meantime she adapts to her new life, falls for Jake and is quite happy.

So will she go back to her old life and Tad or will she stick with Jake and the lodge?? That's the dilemma in Falling for Christmas!

Is Falling for Christmas Worth Watching?

Of course it is! It's Lindsay lohan in a holiday rom-com, what's not to love???

Falling for Christmas has it all. The set-up (skiing accident with amnesia), the hunky local inn owner, the cute daughter, the idiot boyfriend that we all hate immediately, the cosy lodge, twinkly lights, snow and a Christmas waltz. What more could you want? Ok fine, we also get Lohan singing Jingle Bell Rock!!

Now I know that Falling for Christmas won't win any awards. Ever. And sure, it's ridiculously unrealistic and sappy. But isn't that what we want from a holiday season flick?

I do and I loved it. But I also appreciate that I have a job to do, so have rated it based on more than just how ooey and gooey it made me feel. Because it is pretty naff and I'm not sure I'll even remember watching it in a week's time.

But if you want a fun movie to get you into the holiday spirit, sit back and let the festive goodness of Falling for Christmas wash over you.
