When it comes to Hollywood star power, nobody shines as brightly as Ryan Reynolds. Already in two of the biggest Netflix movies, Red Notice and 6 Underground, he is back again with The Adam Project.
What Is The Adam Project About?
Billed as a sci-fi action movie, The Adam Project follows the story of 12-year-old Adam Reed (Walker Scobell) who is still grieving the sudden death of his late father a year earlier.
Now it's just him and his mother (Jennifer Garner) until he walks into his garage one night to find a wounded pilot hiding there. This mysterious pilot turns out to be the older version of himself from the future, where time travel is just beginning.
He has risked everything to come back in time on a secret mission and together they must embark on an adventure into the past to find their father, set things right, and save the world.
Working together, grown Adam (Ryan Reynolds) and his younger self come to terms with the loss of their father and have a chance to heal the wounds that have shaped them.
Adding to the challenge of the mission, the two Adams discover they really don't like each other very much, and if they're going to save the world, they're first going to have to figure out how to get along.

The Adam Project Release Date
The Adam Project has an interesting back story. The original spec script was written by T.S. Nowlin in 2012 and was initially announced as Our Name Is Adam.
Sadly it went nowhere until July 2020 when it moved to Netflix with director Shawn Levy (Free Guy), and Ryan Reynolds set to star.
Incidentally, Shawn Levy has been an executive producer on the Netflix original series Stranger Things and has directed two episodes in each of the show's three seasons. So expect the sci-fi element of The Adam Project to be top-notch!
Filming commenced in November 2020 in Vancouver, Canada and was officially wrapped in March 2021.
Release date for The Adam Project is March 11th 2022.
It streams globally and exclusively on Netflix.
