Netflix really knows how to drum up that Halloween season spirit, making it fun for all the family. Last year we had Adam Sandler's Hubie Halloween and this year, it's the turn of The Curse of Bridge Hollow.
The film stars Marlon Wayans, who has just moved his family from Brooklyn to the small town of Bridge Hollow, a town that goes crazy around Halloween.
When his teenage daughter, Sydney (Priah Ferguson, Stranger Things), tries to settle into her new surroundings, she is told that her new house is actually haunted.
That's when she discovers the legendary lantern of Jack and accidentally releases an ancient and mischievous spirit. That in turn causes all of the Halloween decorations to come to life, wreaking havoc on the town of Bridge Hollow.
When Syndey realises that she can't keep everything under control all by herself, she is forced to team up with her father to save the town.
Because if they can't stop the spirit of Jack by midnight, then Halloween will never end.

Is The Curse of Bridge Hollow Worth Watching?
Like all spooky family movies, The Curse of Bridge Hollow is a fun adventure, even if it is totally daft.
Is it an Oscars contender? No, of course not, it's just supposed to be a bit of light-hearted entertainment to give the kids a few laughs and a few jumps.
It's a Marlon Wayans movie about Halloween decorations coming to life so if you expect more then don't watch it.
If however, you want to grab the popcorn and settle in as not-so-scary spirits wreak havoc on a small town, then you're in luck.
The Curse of Bridge Hollow is easy to watch and good fun. On the downside though, it is also a little over the top, some of the jokes are just meh, and it's only a ‘scary movie' if you're about 5-years-old.

This is a Netflix review of a Netflix film, so of course it’s going to be a good, which is far from what this movie really was. Disappointing, since this film could have been a little Halloween gem. Marlon Wayans did a great job, but was time and time again overshadowed by the robotic acting from the ‘actress’ playing his daughter. This film will get lost in the next few years.
