From the creators of Love is Blind comes The Ultimatum, where in just over eight weeks, six couples have to decide if they should get married to their original partner or break up forever.

When it comes to reality tv, there is seemingly no end to the number of ways that people can find love or relationships can be tested.

Want to compete for the affections of a complete stranger, try The Batchelor. Want to prove you can find a relationship deeper than a puddle, then you have Too Hot to Handle. And if you believe true love has nothing to do with physical attraction then you have Love is Blind.

Speaking of which, the same team behind Love is Blind have a brand new social experiment on the cards. Netflix’s resident love gurus Nick and Vanessa Lachey are back and this time it is with The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On.

From creator Chris Coelen, here is the premise of the show. Six couples are approaching marriage, but one person feels more ready to pop the question than the other. So what do they do? They issue an ultimatum.

But before an answer can be given, the contestants have a week to all get to know each other. At the end of that week, each must select a new potential partner from one of the other couples.

They must then move in and live together for three weeks, like a mini trial marriage, for a life-changing opportunity to get a glimpse of two different possible futures.

Then they go back to their original partner for three weeks and after that, they have to decide if they should get married to their original partner or split forever.

So how will it all end for our couples? Will the dating series, The Ultimatum Marry or Move On, bring them closer together or will the temptation of multiple partners be too much for them? Either way, they'll find out in just over eight weeks.

Is The Ultimatum: Marry Or Move On Worth Watching?

If you liked Love is Blind then you will probably like this show. It's a bit like Temptation Island insofar as couples are tempted by an opportunity to hook up with other people.

However, this show goes deeper than a snog behind a palm tree and asks a lot of its contestants. It is the ultimate test of their commitment to each other and gives them all a real chance at finding their perfect potential partner.

That said, this is still a reality show. So it is packed with drama, drama and more drama. And of course, beautiful people who know how to work a camera and who would undoubtedly love a boost to their Insta following!

Plus there's the elephant in the room…if you have to go on a reality show to fix your own relationship and get a bit of commitment from your other half then maybe they really are not the person for you!
