Escape Room 2 (Tournament Of Champions) – Trailer & Release Date

In 2019 Sony Pictures Entertainment released ‘Escape Room', the movie grossed over $155 million worldwide. The film received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the atmosphere and cast but criticized the familiar plot and its failure to take full advantage of its premise. A sequel, Escape Room: Tournament of Champions, is scheduled for release on July 16, 2021.

The budget for the sequel was set at $20 million which includes the cost of “marketing and distribution”. That amount is double the budget of the first film.

The trailer for the movie Escape Room: Tournament of Champions gives us a sneak peek at what is to come. It starts with five contestants on a subway train and quick descents into a nightmarish scenario. The contestants are subjected to a series of trials, which if they fail will lead to death.

Taylor Russell McKenzie Is Back As Zoey Davis

One of the main actors in this film is Canadian actress Taylor Russell McKenzie. This actress starred in the lead role of ‘Lost In Space'. She also starred in ‘Falling Skies' the hit Sci-fi television series.

Stream Or Theatre Release

When asked if the film would be available to stream alongside a theatrical release, director Christopher Robitel said that it will pursue a standard theatre release with no streaming alternative as he believes that the dark atmosphere of a typical theatre room is necessary for the film.

Amazon Prime subscribers can watch the first ‘Escape Room' on the streaming service for free. U.S. viewers must rent the title for additional costs.
