If you love Alexander Skarsgård, and let's be real here – who doesn't?? – then you'll be setting your watches for Hold The Dark which will drop on Netflix on Friday, 28th September. It is based upon the novel of the same name by William Giraldi and it looks like a creepy thriller that is sure to get the blood pumping.
After the deaths of three children suspected to be killed by wolves, writer Russell Core is hired by the mother of a missing six-year-old boy to track down and locate her son in the Alaskan wilderness. Core is an author and advocate for wolf preservation, and is Medora’s only hope of tracking the beast down and having her revenge.
The father (Alexander Skarsgård) has been away for a year or more in Iraq and when comes home from the war, and discovers his son is dead, he goes on a bloodlust of his own.
Hold The Dark will not be for everybody. It is bloody and violent and it eventually becomes a movie where nothing good can happen. It's not exactly a grab the popcorn and have a cosy night in movie but it will have an audience.
