It: Chapter 2 – Official Trailer

27 years later and Pennywise has returned to the town of Derry, but this time stronger and more evil than ever!

The film, based on the novel written by Stephen King in 1986, is back with a sequel to the 2017 movie It. Andy Muschietti is directing the film, the same as last time, with Warner Bros distributing it. The last film had a budget of $35 million and smashed it when it went to the box office, returning a whopping $700 million.

IT Chapter 2 is set in 2016, 27 years after the first film. An all-star cast has been assembled for the sequel with James McAvoy as Bill Denbrough, Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh and Bill Skarsgard taking up the role as Pennywise again.

At the start of the trailer, we see Beverly Marsh returning to her home town of Derry. She knocks on the door of her old house and is greeted by an old lady. She goes in to see what the house is now like and meet Mrs Kersh, who she suspects to be an innocent old woman.

Mrs. Kersh doesn't want Beverly to leave and as she looks around her old house see's a photo of Mrs Kersh's family. It shows a photo of her father who used to work at the circus and performed as Pennywise, the dancing clown. Suddenly Mrs Kersh doesn't look so sweet after all!

This leads to the Loser Squad, run by Bill Denbrough, reuniting after promising they would should Pennywise return. The rest of the trailer shows all the members coming back to Derry and having to deal with Pennywise haunting them in various ways.

IT: Chapter Two looks like it's going to be another smash hit. Now with the adult versions of the characters, this could truly be the end for the child eating clown.
