Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

This will be the ninth movie by Quentin Tarantino, with a back catalog that includes Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Django Unchained to name a few. Once upon a Time is a much-anticipated film, to say the least.

Initially, the belief was that this film was going to place all of it's focus on the happenings of 1969 with the Manson Family. However, it seems that this story will run alongside the story of a failed actor, played by Leonardo Di Caprio, and his stunt double played by Brad Pitt, who lives next door to one of Manson's victims. It appears that the movie will focus on the two characters and how their world changes dramatically around them.

The cast is huge and includes Margot Robbie, Dakota Fanning, Al Pacino, Kurt Russell, James Marsden, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen and Damon Herriman as Charles Manson. Now with an A-list cast like that and Tarantino's usual brilliant direction, it looks like we are all in for one amazing treat.

The title tends to suggest the style of the film may be heavily influenced by films like ‘Once Upon a Time In The West' and ‘Once Upon A Time In America'. But one thing is for sure, we are guaranteed to have a movie rich in characters, nicely topped off with some ultra-violence – especially if the Manson Family is part of this flick.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is scheduled to hit cinemas around the end of July 2019 – it will definitely be on my list to view.
