Star Wars has taken a whole generation on a journey beyond their wildest dreams. The very first Star Wars movie was first shown in cinemas way back in 1977. The creator George Lucas had great difficulty getting the film to be made in the first place. All but one of the Hollywood Studios turned the concept down until 20th Century Fox took it on. Amazingly the film went out on limited release, but when people were queuing round the block to see it. The film was pushed to an international audience and became the biggest grossing movie at the time. To say that millions of people across the globe have been strongly influenced by the franchise would be an understatement.

Lucas had developed the story to carry across three distinct timelines. The Age of Republic, The Age of Rebellion and The Age of Rebellion. But the production team at the Studio felt that the strongest story fell in the Age of Rebellion. So the first movie was actually Episode four. Decades have passed and fans have been treated to all of the Episodes, some much better than others. But now after all this time, we are coming to the final piece of the story Star Wars Episode Nine: The Rise of the Skywalker.

Now one thing is for sure, the people behind the Star Wars franchise have become the masters at creating huge hype before a new film release. So the final film of a nine-part series was always going to be generating lots of anticipation from the almost religious audience. The Rise of the Skywalker has had the internet ablaze with fan predictions and wild guesses of the story. But even now the plot is still widely kept a secret.

However, what we have had are three trailers that each give hints towards how things will end. And we have all three for you to take a look at, plus the live twitter feed so that you can get all of the latest from the official Star Wars team.

Key Points to raise from the Final Trailer –

1: The Conflicting scenes between Rey and Kylo Ren, first appearing to be battling each other but then fighting together against some unknown foe.
2: Bags of Nostalgia, that is sure to get a tear or two flowing. After all, this is the last time we will see C-3PO, R2-D2 and the whole team in the Millenium Falcon. So from the look of the trailer we are going to get a lot of iconic moments to take away from this film.
3: The Return of Emporer Palpatine, or at least that's how it appears when his voice blasts “Long have I waited” as we are shown the empty dark throne.

But wait, there's more, much more to come. Yes The Rise of Skywalker will be the final part of the original storyline. But don't lose hope, Disney has already started piecing the storyline together with the release of the amazing Rogue One. Which was set somewhere between episodes three and four. And there's more, Solo opened up the back story to Han Solo. Then there is the new release of the big-budget TV series The Mandalorian, set five years after Return of the Jedi and follows a lone Bounty Hunter on the far reaches of the Galaxy. So, whilst The Rise of the Skywalker is the end of one story. You can be sure that this is just the beginning of a whole new Star Wars Universe.
