The Angry Bird Movie 2 – Official Trailer

What were once enemies must now become frenemies as Bird Island and Piggy Island are both in trouble from a new threat in The Angry Birds Movie 2!

This is the second installment in The Angry Birds movies, the first one releasing nearly three years ago. This time around the film has two new directors in Thurop Van Orman and John Rice. The first movie brought in $352million at the box office and the new directors will be hoping the sequel can do the same.

In the trailer for The Angry Birds Movie 2, we see that Red is now a hero on Bird Island after saving all the birds in the first movie. Chuck and Bomb still live with Red, whilst Red is trying to cope with his anger issues.

Red is also still at war with King Mudbeard, the ruler of Piggy Island, and the one who tried to destroy Bird Island. But King Mudbeard pays an unexpected visit to Bird Island to see Red about a potential problem for both of them…

King Mudbeard has noticed that there is actually a third island, a remote arctic island. On this island is Zeta, who owns a weapon that can fire ice balls at both the islands. Her aim is to destroy both islands and this is why Mudbeard visits.

After consideration Red decides that he does actually need to team up with Mudbeard to save everyone. Between the two of them, they must assemble a plan that is clever and cunning enough to defeat Zeta. A task that doesn't seem very straight forward!

The trailer ends with their team of ‘heroes' on Zeta's island. Can they find a way to disable the weapon or will Zeta destroy both Bird and Piggy island?!

The Angry Birds Movie 2 looks like it's going to be a great film for all the family to watch. In cinemas this summer.
